Edmonton Airports, your airline and dozens of agencies around the
world work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of
passengers using Edmonton International Airport (EIA). The key
agencies responsible for safe and secure air travel in Canada and
the US are:
- Transport Canada is responsible for the safety
and security of travellers on the ground and in the air. It also
sets and enforces the standards for airport and airline
operations.
- Canadian
Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is responsible for
screening all passengers, personnel and their belongings at the
airport.
- Canada
Border Services Agency (CBSA) manages the movement of people
and goods into Canada.
- US Customs &
Border Protection (USCBP) manages the movement of people and
goods into the United States. For public inquiries, their office
hours at Edmonton International Airport are Tuesdays, Wednesdays
and Thursdays from 09:00 - 13:00. They can be reached directly at

- Royal Canadian
Mounted Police is responsible for policing EIA, which has its
own RCMP detachment.
