“Festival City” is a name that Edmonton has earned over the years, and with more than 30 festivals held in Edmonton each year, it is a name that will stick.
During the summer months, a new festival seems to pop up each week; festivals that celebrate culture like the Heritage Festival, or aim to entertain like the Street Performers Festival in July and the Fringe Festival in August. For music lovers, the Folk Festival and the Blues Festival offer a wide range of musicians, local and international, at highly acclaimed venues.
